Words...

"...words enter a person - they get inside. There they are alive with a powerful energy that enables something of the speaker to penetrate, to enter another's core. It is in the shared word that the speaker and the one spoken to make contact. It is there that they meet each other." (pg114)

My thoughts:

1) All words I say affect the person I'm talking to. What affect am I having on a person? Is it negative or positive?

2) All words I speak affect the relationship i have with a person. Am I building up and strengthening my relationships? Or am I destroying it or weakening it?

3) All words I speak are a reflection of who I am? Are the words I'm saying showing me to be a holy and loving person? Or are my words making clear my sinfulness and the parts of me that need to change and be perfected?
